SPAMMERS

Hello whoever is in charge here.

How are we going to get this site cleaned up a little. It seams like we are getting alot more spam in the last couple of months since the site was sold. I know that there are a couple of moderators that have told us to send them a PM but they can only do so much and I really don't see them on here too much anymore.

So what is the answer, if I can even get one.

Also is there a person or represenitive of Outdoorhub that we can contact if we have to. Most forums that I am on have at least one but I haven't see anyone on here that would fit that bill.

Hey leave the spam alone. Without it we'd have no posting.

I have been sending Hiker and

lol

I have been sending Hiker and Exbio PM's pretty much every morning, and they are on top of it within a couple of hours.  I don't think they can live on the site, so they're doing the best they can.

What's wierd is that I NEVER saw spammers like this under the old management.  I don't think it's them that are the issue though, I wonder if it's a software thing or something like that.  We are getting hit with 3-4 "New Members" a night, and pretty much every one is a spammer.

Hey, it is starting to pick up with the hunting season going now.

I've sent Hiker a couple of PM's myself.

I believe that the last administration stayed on top of the spam messages and we mostly didn't see them that much.  But it has been so long since I have seen any of them post on here this last year since the last contest that I wonder if they are still around.

In reality it really doesn't take that much to stay on top of the spam but it does take some dedication to do it.  A site like this doesn't police itself and even hitting the "Flag as Offensive" button doesn't do anything since nobody knows where the report goes.

I saw one the other day, and at the bottom of each thread there is a spot that says flag as offensive, i just did that, marked it as spam, and it was gone a little later ?
