Southeast Idaho Elk Hunt

Hello,
I'm planning a hunt in Southeast Idaho around Idaho Falls. Has anyone hunted this area before? What can I expect for terrain? How is the quality size of elk? Any chance of a trophy? Any pictures of the terrain or animals taken from this area? Is it really as crowded as many other forms have made it? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at Google Earth and use a topo map. I use Google Earth a ton. Also, a lot of people will just upload their own photos of the area so you can get a good idea of what the foliage and terrain looks like.

Ya i have the freedom map for my Ifinder also ordered 2 maps from fish and game, any idea of the class of elk in that area? wolfs? grizz?

The first deer I shot, way back in 1958, was taken to the local meat shop and processed into steaks, roasts and some burger.
