Sorry fellas, stupid question about hunting areas in WA

This is the first year I will be hunting Washington and have been living in the Big Game Pamphlet the last couple weeks. I noticed while looking at the maps in the Pamphlet there are Elk and Deer tag areas in certain GMUs. Now for the stupid question, What exactly are the designated Elk and Deer tag areas. Any help will be greatfully appreciated.

I think what you are looking at are the special drawing areas . They can be 2 GMU combined . Or part of one GMU.

2007 big game in Washington
Pages 17, 18 and 19 will give you the info on deer.
Pages 36, 37 and 38 for elk.
These are for general seasons.
The units maps are on pages 32 and 33.
Pay attention to any bold, italic or red print. These would be specifics that need attention.
They don't indicate what is private land, what is lumber baron land or what is open or closed. It's best to get out and check any area of interest. Once you find an area/unit of interest. It's best to get a map. Most of the large sporting goods chains will have these maps.

They're getting a bit complicated with these reg's, also the fishing, and as far as they're concerned ignorance is not an excuse.

Hope you have a great season.
