Some weather

Hey you all need to send us some weather from the Great North.  I sure could use some colder temps and maybe even a little snow.  Gopt an elk hunt in a few weeks and then after that waterfowl season will be starting.  So you need to get freezing cold up there so it will push some birds down so I have something to do after elk season is over.

Thanks in advance!

I hear you, but man, we have

I hear you, but man, we have to be careful for what we wish.  Last winter was brutal with lots of cold and snow where I live.  I don't have a snow blower so it meant that I was out shoveling the driveway all winter.  Several times per day sometimes because it is easier to shovel 2 inches three times than six inches one time or at least I think.

Good luck with the weather and your hunts.

CVC: it sounds like you have

CVC: it sounds like you have a great excuse to go buy a 4 wheeler and put a plow on it.  It is a lot more fun than a snow blower.  Pluss you can use it on weekends for other things.

I am serious, that is a genius of an idea.  i am not sure if I could actually sell it, but i bet if I whined, pouted, and threw a temper tantrum....er I mean if I put my foot down and told her I was getting it, it might just work.

I am not kidding, I will try that cause I'd love a 4 wheeler.

Now you are talking! The problem with this idea is that more playing gets done than work. I can guarantee you that. I found out the hard way... or I guess I should say that my dad found that out the hard way. He bought a used one for a great deal from someone at church because it came with a plow. It also came with all kinds of other bells and whistles including heated grips. It should have been the snow plowing king but I can say with certainty that it has only seen maybe 1 to 2 % of its total use plowing snow. It is used primarily on other excursions... the fun kind. It is also hard to keep from doing doughnuts once there is snow on the ground. We always hope for a white christmas every year because if there is snow on the ground, my dad brings home the ATV's (they are stored away from the house) and we pull sleds behind it. It is a blast. I say you try and talk your wife into one. It will be worth it.

I think they need to get a

I think they need to get a lot more weather up north just to keep those ducks and geese moving in our direction. After the weather as of late it really has picked up a little bit though. But I want to be swimming (or flying) in birds here pretty soon. Come on Northerners... do your part. ha And leave some pintails for me too!

How has the waterfowl hunting been up there?
