Nice pics! that's a dandy bull too :D And you're right Ca_Vermonster, the 4th and longest point is called the Royal. It's also been called the Dagger tine. H2o is also right about the bulls with different point counts being called different things. This naming 6 and 7 point bulls is little less common though, i had never heard of that till i just researched it.

Yep I am less than a week to the start of my elk hunt. I do noy need many more photos to get me fired up, but lets see some more get posted up here. Hopefully I have with have some "hero" shots to post up here at the end of the month..as I will be gone for about 10 days.

Hero shot
Just got back about 2 hours ago here is my hero shot for this year so far. Took this cow from 300 yards with one shot. She walked about 25 yrds before she went down. Took me all day to pack her out but she tasted great tonight.
