Umm anyone wanna tell me what kind of snake shedded this skin? I hate them so much! and then to I dont know how long it is because it keeps running under part of my house and I dont wanna pull it out!! ahh snake I hate garder snakes how should I deal with a huge snake!! ahh thats why I live in wisconsin.
Im guessing its a bull snake or rattlesnake but I dont know. And the only reason I say rattlesnake is because my neighbor had some of his cows get bit.
Leave it alone along with finding out what it is eating such as mice, and rats. 99% of all snakes are harmless and do a good job of getting rid of other vermin such as mice and rats. I never have figured out people that need to kill every snake that they see weather it is harmful or not. If you get rid of their food odds are the snake will leave since it has nothing to hunt and eat.
Still I dont want my dogs trying to bite it and get there A I mean there butts bit. It would be kind of hard to get rid of mice and rats around my house there everywhere I live in the country so then there everywhere else...And sorry critter but I am one of those people that will shoot any snake they see I just hate them and then the bigger ones Im freaking scared of them. So I shoot them.
Take the skin down to your local extinsion office and see if they can identify it. They can also tell you just what kind of poisonous snakes you have. As long as it isn't a rattle snake I wouldn't worry about you or your dogs.
Thanks for posting the link. And Its probably a bull snake or a timber rattler because those are pretty much the only large snakes in my area.
I'd say it's a bull snake. I guess I agree with Critter, leave em' be as they play an important part in controlling rats & mice. Next time you see him, grab him by the tail and if you feel it rattle then it's not a bull snake

That shure would make it more interesting on finding out just what kind of snake it is. As old Dirty Harry would say "Do you feel lucky"

Yeah I hate snakes to. I kill them when I see them which is probably once or twice a year.
