Smokin Cigs

i have a reply to smokin cigs. my buddy sat in his stand several times this season. he is a smoker and smokes while hunting. so do i. he said deer would come past his 18 ft stand. he would spark one up and the deer would look around to see where the sound of the lighter came from. otherwise the animals had no fear of smoke , but being 18 ft in the air it might have rolled past them. i also had a experience three hunting seasons ago. first thing in the morning in the middle of the bush i had to go number two. didn't see anything all day, and couldn't even see tracks. came back the next day and there were tracks eveywhere. they even came to my little mess to inspect. it was a different smell to them but deer are curious creatures. i would't advise doing it in the area you hunt in but when you got to go................

Quit the butts, it will be better for you and won't have to worry about the smell

OOOH , I'm working on the 4th month smoke free,, The 9th of August was my first smoke free day ... This is the second time I quit . The first time it lasted 15 years and then Hammer and i were having a few cold ones then i started again . A really dumb move on my part . I'm giving it another shot . Might last another 15 years .Or longer , If I live long enough .........

Don't mean to hijack the thread , but the smoking came into play here ,,SORRY ,,,,

Thanks for the thoughts Nail! Glad to hear ya give up the smokes, I know it's hard buddy. I smoked for about 10 yrs. and quit cold turkey when my first son was born. Tough to do when your having couple cold ones for sure.
