What is the smallest grain bullet you can get for 8mm?

The smallest I have seen was 125 gr. if I can just remember where.

I think Hornady have a bullet some where around the 125grs Chester mentioned, check out the home page.

I was also wondering about my 30/30 and what grain bullet I should use for small game; Squirral,rabbit...etc
Grandpa said a 110 grain which is smallest ive seen.

I know remington makes the 55 grain accelerator for the 30/30 if you are looking for factory loads.

A 110 gr bullet from a 30/30 wouldn't leave a lot of rabbit left, and would likely disintegrate a squirrel. Try the good ole .22 - it's an excellent small game rifle and easy on the budget too.

Even the 55 gr. accelerator would be too much for small game but could be used for varmint hunting.

I believe you can get 92 grain cast lead gas checked bullets if you reload...

i too m woundering what the lightest gr. is but for a .243? someone told me use a light grain for coyote to keep the pelt in better con. T/F?

If I was chasing after pelts. I would opt for the FMJ. Hornady has an 80gr and Sierra has a 90 gr in .243. I believe Speer use to make an 85gr, but I don't see it listed.

Ditto on what fuzzy said. FMJ has a tiny hole going in and a tiny hole going out with hardly any damage to the pelt.
