Should be a good fall

Not going to be alot of quantity, but good quality. Just found out that the pig hunt I was supposed to take back in February, is back on in December. Imagine a place that had 3,000-5,000 hogs running around, and not get hunted for 9 months. May be in for a good weekend. So, here's my fall......

Oct 27th: Rifle Deer here in CA. Only get out a day or 2, but maybe I'll get lucky

Nov 10th: Rifle deer in Vermont, 3 days of hunting

Dec 7-9th: Pig hunting here in CA.

Spread nice and evenly out over the next couple of months.

That does sound like a nice fall! Nice intervals to where you have the next hunt to look forward to after the previous hunt. Good luck, and looking forward to seeing some pictures!

Well, it's been over 10 years since I killed a deer, and never a pig, so we can only hope to see some succewss photos....

Your patience is inspiring as I would have gone crazy without success for so long. It goes ot show that it truly is the experience that is the most important part of the hunt.

I agree. Nicely spaced and I'm in hopes that fortune smiles upon you. Most important, you're getting out and if I recall correctly you will be hunting with your Dad in VT.

I'm envious of your opportunity to hunt with your Dad. Enjoy the moment and treasure it.

Doves and ducks, but no big game. I only get back to Vermont every other year, for only 3 days, and out here, I only get out 4-5 times a year. Success here is about 7% for archery, and maybe 15% for rifle.

The only thing I am embarrassed to not have filled is my doe tags. Had 3-4 of those over the last 10 years, but still couldn't fill them.

NM Barbary Sheep: Feb 1 - 28 (Rifle)

Still waiting on some draw results here in TX but those are ususlly negative.

NM Barbary Sheep

The barbary Sheep numbers in NM looked real good for non-residents. My freind and I put in this year for the first time and got drawn. I will check the numbers again and give you an estimated drawing odds.
