Hey Guys I'm looking to go shoot my rifle before my elk trip this fall. I live in Littleton and am looking for somewhere kind of close to go shoot my rifle. I am new to CO so anything would help.

Family Shooting Center at Cherry Creek State Park is going to be the closest and most convienient. Aside from the $15 range fee (you can bring up to 2 rifles and any additional gun is another 8 bucks), you'll need a park pass to enter Cherry Creek which clips you for another 8 dollars.
You'll also need to have all rifles in cases or they get all kinds of bent out of shape. They're a bit pricey, but you wanted close, and that's about it locally.
What do you do with those empty nylon feed bags or dog & cat food bags? Can you say recycle? I use them for target practice for the youngsters. Take your empty shopping bags, stuff them into an empty nylon feed bag. You can also use old clothing or rags, (but put them in the bottom so it doesnt get top heavy). When your bag is full, fold the top over, punch some holes into the top and zip tie the top shut. Paint, draw, paste, or have the kids decorate their new target. Set it out 10 or 20...
