shooting to high

Im trying to sight in a new omega it is constantly shooting high.I tried shooting at 25 yards it was about 16 inches high. I moved the rear sight down as low as it will go and at 100 yds it is still 11 inches high.Ive tried to burry the front sight as low in the back sight as I can and still high. Wondering if someone had any ideas on how to fix this problem. Thanks Jim

I don't shoot in-lines but I'm guessing you're shooting a light jacketed bullet and sabot? Might try a big heavy lead conical...I'm betting that would get you on target.

I am shooting 270 grain powerbelt platinum with 100 grains of loose powder.Thanks Jim

hey thanks guys, I contacted thompson center and talked to their tech.He asked for the serial number looked it up and said about the time they made that gun they were switching sights and my gun has the wrong front sight. They sent out of new front sight today. Thanks for the help Jim

Yeps......figured such....otherwise would have suggested filing down the front sight a bit to drop your point of impact.

I'm sorry but I think filling down the front sight will raise the point of impack
