Shattered Dreams Create New Memories PART II

Well for those of you that remember my post "Shattered Dreams Create New Memories" from last year..... I plan on writing the final chapter with a story book ending this week!

I'm moments away from making the 4.5 hour trip to Montana, to the exact same spot as last year, with the same favorite hunting buddy (my dad)  .  I talked to my cousin yesterday who guides in this area, and gave me lots of encouraging info on where to go and where the elk are right now.  Also told me all the places not to go..... Unless I want to add on to all the grizzly attacks they've had in the area haha.

Be back end of the week with the final chapter!

Good luck on your hunt and I hope you guys do great. Hunting with your dad or like me with your son is always a rewarding experience. I'm going to have to go back and read last years post for a refresher now just to get the background for your hunt this year.

JimmyB - Good luck on the hunt!  It is great when Dad is the hunting partner.  More memories to be made that will last a lifetime - for both of you.  I'm looking forward to your final chapter (for this series) and the great pictures to accompany the story!

Well.... Hunting is tough

Well.... Hunting is tough this year! Hiking in 8-10" of snow and I've seen more grizzlies and big horn sheep than elk. High for tomorrow is 10deg so hopefully the elk will be movin around!

Wow, sounds a little chilly! 

Wow, sounds a little chilly!  Hopefully, as you say, the cold weather will get the elk up and moving around!  Best of luck to you guys.  Have a fun, safe, and memorable hunt! Come back with a final chapter tot he story, and share some great photos.  And, most importantly, stay away fromt eh grizzlies!!! Wink
