Sharing game meat

How much meat do the rest of you guys generally give away?

The more I have shared the more people ask. My 4 member family takes a LOT of animals every year now with hogs, deer, elk, and antelope being the bulk of it. I probably give half of my take now to friends and co-workers and some needy members of our church.

In our hunting group we

In our hunting group we usally split the meat at the end of a hunt. some times we all tag out  and other time only one of us will tag out. But we generally split it up to who ever wants it. If someone doesnt help out with the retreival or butchering we might not give as much to that person but sometimes time and family obligations to allow for all of us to help out.

Well, I have not taken a big game animal in 9 years, so I have been relying on the generosity of others to get me through.

Got any extra you want to send my way??? lol

Lol. Sorry I rarely fly.

I pretty much drive everywhere. Texas, Florida, and going to Oregon in May, all driving.

Still cheaper to drive for all 3 of us and we get to see more of the country.

I can get plenty of time off just not the money to pay for it all.

I'd love to do that, but

I'd love to do that, but driving would take up 4 days, and we only have 5 days.

I give away most of the first deer I get every year

I give away most of the first deer I get every year.  It is an annula tradition for me to make jerky and give it as Christmas gifts to the land owners who let me hunt and to my family.  That takes almost a whole white tail.  Anything over and above that we eat up ourselves, although I am happy to share a meal with anyone
