September 1st........

....... and I am sitting here at work, not hunting dove...... Bash

Usually, this is the time when my Dad flies out here for our Hunting/Fishing/Golfing weekend.  However, my wife and I had a baby 5 weeks ago, so the parents decided to come out then to see the baby.  I miss the thousands of hunters, the 95 degrees @ 9:00 AM, and getting peppered with bb's.  Seriously, wouldn't have it any other way........ Thumbs up

At least I can get back to Vermont to hunt whitetail with Dad in November......

Well congrats on your kid.

Well congrats on your kid. One day it will be you making a trip to hunt with them. I have never hunted doves but I think I am going to give it a whorl this year.

Never hunted doves? That's

Never hunted doves? That's the season that starts all the hunting seasons around here. It usually starts with a B-B-Que of some sort or pig picking with all the fixings. The birds aren't hard to hunt, but finding a place with birds is. It will warm you up for hunting ducks later on.  You need to try it sometime. Thumbs up

I never did till I moved

I never did till I moved here, but I can tell you, it the one of the most fun but frustrating hunts you will do.  First time Idid it, I shot 3 birds with something like 36 rounds or so.  It's a blast!
