Hi All--
I work for a documentary production company in New York City. In a couple of days we are headed to upstate NY to film a reenactment for a documentary we are doing for the History Channel. The reenactment is of a neanderthal butchering scene and we are looking for a portion of a deer carcass to use in this scene. Any recommendations for where I might find one?

Your best bet might be to contact DOT they have crews that pick up dead animals off the road. Next would be to contact the DEC and see if they can help.
As far as hunters, the only deer season open in NY untill Oct 15th is Northern Tier Bow, not historicly a big producer season.
