I read in the Field and Stream Magazines that there is actually a second rut for those bucks that didnt find a doe the youger does come into estrous later and that causes buks that didnt get a chance to breed before to breed now. Some say that the second rut can be more productive than the first rut. Bringin out bigger bucks than the first as well. Now they say that it is approximately 28 days after the first rut From my bowhunting expierience the bucks seemed to be rutting around november 3. My uncle saw three bucks chasin does that weekend i saw a nice eight pointer stoped him and missed him. So if im no mistaking the second rut should be sometime around opening day or eve a couple days after. Now the second rut is actually shorter than the first one. Does anyone else belive in this so called second rut i agrre with it but im not sure if im about to hunt by it?[/b]
