Very nice Hawkeye! Looks like you had a great year! While the snow makes for a great photo, great tracking, etc., I can't imagine trying to pack out an animal of that size while having to walk in that stuff. I love the snow, but it's always a pain to walk in, let alone carrying an extra 75-100 pounds per trip.

Congrats on the cow. The
Congrats on the cow. The smaller ones are just easier to pack out. And they all taste great to me. I specially like pronghorn when taking care of properly.
No Elk for me this year but did shoot a mule deer doe, 14" antelope, and a couple whitetails hear in the midwest. I was on some good mule deer in CO but we couldn't get them on film in the shadows. Rookie camerman, but was still a great hunt. No monsters but some 160" class bucks. Shot a monster whitetail this year biggest ever 193+". Antelope came from South Dakota spot and decoy. Man those things can be very stupid. All were bow kills. I have truely had a great year. Every year is good, some just more memorable.

Congrats on your trifecta!
Congrats on your trifecta! It doesn't matter the size, they all taste gooood.
Loco, congrats on that good looking goat and muley!
Where's the pics of that whitetail deer, midwesternhunter? That is a huge whitetail. I,for one, would like to see some pics.
I have had a good year too. Two turkeys in the spring, a boar and sow hog, three does and small 8 point buck. Not as good as years past, but I have had a good year. It still isn't over yet so I may get a couple more deer before the first of the year. No closed season on the hogs, so I should be able to hunt them after the first of the year, hopefully in the snow.

A great year
The last few years have been amazing for me.
This year, I have been blessed with two white tail, two turkeys, and a handful of geese.
I have no complaints at all
I'm glad to see that so many of you have also been blessed with success. Anybody that hasn't - don't give up!
And let's all hope for good things next year!

Way to Go!
Way to go, Hawkeye!
That's a real accomplishment - deer, antelpoe and elk.
In my state, that would have to be deer, turkey and squirrel! :>)
We have elk, but the odds of drawing a tag are so slim that it's not fair to even consider it a possibility.
I guess that goose, duck and rabbit caould also be added in there somwehere, as well as feral hog, now that they are open game for any hunter.
I had a great season, but didn't bring home the venison.
I had my chance on opening morning, but blew it.
On the other hand, I had some great days in the woods with some great friends.
I also was given a whole doe and the hind quarter of a deer by a friend who had more than he could use.
Life is good!
