it did after she took off the second time, he just sat there in the pouring rain waiting for her. I felt bad knowing that it was going to be awhile before she would come bk, and it was starting to get dark. He didnt want to head bk home, he'd rather sit there get drownded and wait. I figured being it was getting dark and with the rain if he did get a shot we might not find her if she went to far. The good thing he was readt to go the next mornin and do it all over again

this is very true

my first time hunting was pretty much the same but this was during the rut one year. i was at a friends plantation with my dad and my friends dad we have been sitting in the shooting house for about, well 2 hrs, while it was cold and wet . We were about to wrap it up when a doe comes running out. Now this got my blood pumpin. knowing what i did know at the time came in handy. i knew that during the rut bucks were trying to find mates. (i have watched some tv prior to going ) well i sat there for about 15 more minutes when we hear the branches scrape and leaves crunching. i keep looking hoping it was a buck. it walked out and it was a 8 point! i thought to myself (GOOD GRIEF THATS A BIG UN'!!!) he walked up within 50 yards of me and i shifted slowly to get my gun at the perfect angle. My heart was thumpin like a drum. I thought this was going to be it. i switch the safety off i take aim and about the time i get ready to shoot. it just walks into the woods. I look up at my dad and my friends dad and they just mouth " Watch " i keep looking. It got to dark to see so we packed it up. In the car driving back to the house ( the BIG house) the man says "that was one of the biggest bucks i have seen on this property.

I still havent got my first buck and this is only my first full season going in this year. got me a bow and im ready (also my gun) but that experience will be with me forever and just got me hooked. ( im going to go back with the people i was with, im hoping i will see it this year again and show it somethin.)
