Scouting for deer part 2

Yesterday I traveled up to the Gila National Forest to scout for deer. There was plenty of sign of deer, turkeys and even bear. My trail cams revealed some interesting footage and I may need some help in identifying this buck... is he a whitetail or a mule deer? Feel free to give me your opinion. I also need help identifiying the commmon brouse found in these hills. They produce acorns but the leaf does not look like oak, can anyone identify this shrub? More to come from my next and final scouting trip.

I am guessing that the deer

I am guessing that the deer is either a whitetail or a cross breed between the two, it is kind of hard to tell.

For the oak tree or bush I'll wager that it is a Mexican Blue Oak.

I also thought that it might

I also thought that it might be a cross breed. But like you said hard to tell.
I researched the MX blue oak and you appear to be correct. Thanks for your input.
