Scouting for ?

This past weekend, I made it out to my deer hunting area for a scouting trip. I covered quite a bit of ground and spent a lot of time glassing. Unfortunately, I did not see any deer, and I a saw very little deer sign. However, I did see some beautiful country and learn quite a bit about an area I had never been in before. At the end of the day, I did spot 2 elk a mile away. Even with my spotting scope, I couldn't make out any details on the elk, but I was impressed that my camera was able to get any kind of picture at that distance with fading light.

Good eye. Unfortunately,

Good eye. Unfortunately, this is about as close to an ex-bio picture as I have come, actually having wildlife in the picture instead of just a scenery.
