SCOTUS Expands Gun Rights

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142405274870396410457533470151310942...

Its a victory I'll take, but I'm kind of suprised that they didn't define "reasonable" more clearly.  That seemed to be a problem with Heller as well....

I guess we have a "reasonable" federalism glued together by the 14th amendment.

happy

I'm happy with it.  But true they should have defined reasonable.  It does make me wonder though about some of those judges when they have to step down based on the outcome of certain legislation in our favor.  All those Ivy Legue educations and they still don't/can't comprehend why the founding fathers wrote the 2nd Amendment or what it means Confused

Wh. I think they comprehend

Wh. I think they comprehend the second amendment all too well. The reason Politicians ( and scotus is a politically appointed body) revere gun control is that they revere power and control period. The first two amendments stand in the way of their ultimate goal, which is absolute power. This is why it (the second amendment) has never been completely defined for what it is. On the other hand Heller and McDonald are victories, if not complete ones. I will take what I can get. But it's not what I want. What we really need to do is to make these two decisions the sacred cow to us that Row v. Wade has become to the left.

They should have defined

They should have defined reasonable.  It leaves the litigation to each locality to come up with their own definition of reasonable.  I can see reasonable being interpretted differently based on where you live.  What it did do is set a minimum threshold of what is "illegal" gun control, such as Chicago's current gun laws.

It will be interesting what

It will be interesting what the cities will come up as far as requiring classes, permits, etc and throw a price tag on all those requirements to keep people from being able to afford to legally carry a gun
