Maybe you need a catchier title if you want more people reading it.
Say no to tyranny, say no to Holder! or maybe
Hold on to liberty say no to Holder.
I tried that to a point, as an experiment on another board, It gain a very limited number of views . it's as if everybody has heard it or seen it and don't care to see it again.
I look at all just to see the opinions and updates regardless.
I should have put a smiley face with my post because I was just kidding but your point is well taken.
I think that many people, not necessarily those on this board, but in general are apathetic and take no direction action. Sure they like to spout off and vent, but will they make contact their elected representative?
I have and I think it makes a difference. I also support the NRA. They are a strong voice for us.
I know, and agree.
Civetcat is right though in one aspect(on the HR 45) thread.
It is becomming a culture battle for us.
It use to be, that 1/2 the house holds had a firearm of some kind.
That has dropped, so we are out numbered to a serious degree.
So I believe we now have to fight on two fronts if we are to protect the Second Amendment.
Im going to paste this post on the HR 45 thread, and explain my thoughts further.
Believe me, people are very well aware of what's going on with the AG nomination, and people are voicing there opinions. You're title says it, and you don't even have to open it to know you need to take action immediately.
You know, we could always turn this into a contraversial post!
"Believe me, people are very well aware of what's going on with the AG nomination, and people are voicing there opinions. You're title says it, and you don't even have to open it to know you need to take action immediately."
I so pray you are right, but fear otherwise jfrench.
I talked with a samall group of gun owner/hunters here locally just yesterday.
When I asked if they had contacted the Committee Senator's,,I got " no, why ?" in return.
When asked if they new about HR45 , i got, "no, wth is that"
I'm not so sure about that statement of "proclaim an end to the petty grievances" and "recriminations" and that we "set aside childish things."
I don't see what is childish about our reps being cautious enough to take a deeper look into things. I assume that is how the next couple of years are going to run.
It's simple,,,,,if you agree with most and close your eyes to the rest, you are doing our by-partisan duty. If not, it's childish and petty for those to disagree. Follow blindly, I think is what it meant
I just got back from my elk trip to Colorado and must say that I learned quite a bit about hiking in that one trip. I researched all I could on the internet and thought I was prepared going out. For the most part I was but I want to pass on a few major things I learned that helped me drastically!
1. Pack light. I know this may sound like common sense but believe me. After reading everyone's advice on what you need to pack, chances are your pack will end up weighing more...
