Saw this toad up in RMNP today...

I took my girlfriend on a day trip up to Rocky Mtn National Park today as part of her birthday present. We got to see some awesome elk rut action and I got to watch this TOAD! I can't tell you how pumped up it got me for my 2nd season deer hunt... I can't wait to chase big bucks! He isn't very wide but he sure is TALL!

The other bucks were in somebodies front yard in Estes Park.

Those are definitely some

Those are definitely some great looking bucks there. I hope you are able to get one of them. Will you be using a bow or a rifle on these hunts?

That sure is a toad. I

That sure is a toad. I wouldn't have to think twice about pulling the trigger in a buck like that. Those are some great pictures. I've turned my wife into a wildlife nut. She would love to go for a drive and see some animals like that. Good luck on your upcoming deer hunt, Hope you can drop a big one and add to your taxi bill. Your having a great season so far keep it up.

Heck, I would take ANY of

Heck, I would take ANY of those 3 in that one photo!! Some awesome bucks there, for sure!

I am actually not one for width in a rack anyway.  I like a tall rack, and I like mass.  Not that I would turn down a 40 incher Wink but it does not impress me as much.

Can't wait to see how you and all the other guys do on their hunts there this fall.  It's about time for the reports to start rolling in here in the next couple of weeks.  I'll be headed out again Monday, and I will be happy with a doe!!!

Some great bucks! It's always

Some great bucks! It's always great to see pictures or bucks even if it's not where your going to be hunting. Always gets me fired up to get out there again.

I'm impressed that you girlfriend enjoys something like that as even part of her birthday. My wife enjoys it some but would not be impressed if I said it was for her birthday. lol She supports what I do but has no desire to be a part of it.

It never ceases to amaze me

It never ceases to amaze me at the size of the deer that you will see in our National Parks.

One year I was driving through Capital Reef National Monument (before it was turned into a National Park) and I saw 10 bucks that look like the pictures that you see on the Kings World Calendar.  The smallest one was well over 200 points and they were all big wide and massive.  When they walked they held their heads down because of all the weight on them, and this was during hunting season but they were off limits except for poachers who always took a couple out of the park each year.  That is until they got caught.
