Saw my first bear of the spring

I was driving home from an appointment yesterday afternoon and saw a bruiser of a black bear on a farmer's bird feed right off the road. He was a big boy... Nice to see them out and about...

Massachusetts.We do not have a spring season here. Only fall.

Mass Bear

Greetings,
I am interested in any help you can provide for me to get started hunting black bear in Mass. I've been hunting for twnety years and have taken my fair share of whitetail. I have hunted Beartown state forest many times. Do you have any suggestions on where to start ?

Beartown Mountain is a great place to start! It's loaded up there...! My first was on Beartown!
