well i did it but stuck to the spar varnish hers how it looks i hope the pics work

Looks good.
You mentioned you liked a satin finish. If you want less sheen. Let the varnish cure for about a week and use the #00 or #000 steel wool.
What matters is. Do you like it.
It looks good.
