Sako Finnlight

Anybody have some feedback on these guns?  My wife tried alot of Custom Guns at the SCI Show in Reno and preferred the comfort of this over everything.  Obviously we didn't have a chance to send a few rounds through.  If we go this route, we'll be setting up in .308 with a 2.5 to 10 Schmidt-Bender optic.

The Finnlight is a nice gun

The Finnlight is a nice gun and has Sako's standard 5 shot 1 MOA guarantee.  Should shoot fine.

Personally I like the stock on the older 75 based finnlight, but the 85 has the magazine locking feature that the 75 does not.

Thanks.

I just found an Outdoor Life article showing it as their Editors Choice Award in 2009.  They actually tested in .308 with a 168 Hornady and gave a good review.  Only issue now is if the Berretta/Sako distributors have any in stock.  Cabella's in AZ has them, but not in .308.

I bought a sako 85 off of

I bought a sako 85 off of impactguns.com. Their prices were fair at least at the time and they were easy to deal with. I don't have the finnlight but have two 85's now and they are fantastic rifles.

I was surprised in looking

I was surprised in looking around how hard these are to find. I checked a couple of the big dealer wholesalers that sell beretta and Tikka but they don't carry the Sako.

The only one I have found online so far in .308 is on gunbroker.

It's hard to beat the Sako

It's hard to beat the Sako line of firearms.  I have a 30-06 and a .243 and they are not only well-made, beautiful rifles, but are also tack drivers!!!

The only Sako I own myself is

The only Sako I own myself is a rimfire Quad in .17hmr. It shoots great and I got it new for nearly half of the retail price so I grabbed it. I always wanted a Sako mostly because I am of Finnish descent.

The only downside to the Quad is the stock feels pretty cheap and they also used a polymer bolt handle but that can be replaced with a better one.

If I could find one for the right price though I would take a centerfire in a heartbeat.
