Bear in mind Rush has worse favorable/unfavorables than former President Bush, not much to win an election on, or even a senate seat in a red state.

You're comparing a talk show host's ratings to a former president's??? Think

Rush isn't running for anything! That's like saying Moore, Leno or Letterman are running for office. I guess we should be comparing their popularity to Obama's. Well actually - I take that back, I guess some jokers do run for office, as is the case in Minnesota!

I used to be a registered Republican, always considered myself to be a conservative, stlll do. Party left me not vice versa, it all began with the "southern strategy".

Now THAT is some funny stuff, right there. Laugh Laugh Laugh Everything you've posted on this forum is the most far-left tripe imaginable. You really need to look up the term "conservative", because it doesn't mean what you think it means.

Well right now it seems to be Rush Limbaugh, there's a food fight going on and whenever anyone disses him they come crawling asking for forgiveness in a day or two.

House minority leader Boehner has corraled every Repub to sign on to calling for a spending freeze which is analygous to playing russian roulette with all the chambers loaded. I mean every congresspersonn is praying thier voters forget in a year and a half. But no one can be a leader with a name that was mispronounced all the way through junior high. Maybe Boehner thinks it's good to piss off every voter in every Republican district I don't know.

Sure wish they'd find a leader somewhere. We have at least 8 years of mess to clean up. Maybe what we really need is a big fat tax cut for rich folks, capital gains so the little people don't have to worry about it on that 1040 short form.

And the Republicans will have an even bigger mess to clean up when they get done with bonehead dems like you! You really don't get any of this do you civet? Ah yes but the government will fix everything for you. Well enjoy it while you can, it's not going to last long. I'm counting the days until the next election - can you say "lame duck?"

If you haven't noticed, Obama is tubing it big time. How much money did he throw at GM? GM's stock closed at $1.45 on Friday and it looks like they might not make it. We really got our money's worth there, didn't we?

All they care about is creating panic and using the rich as a scapegoat to jam through a whole lot of socialist legislation amid the confusion.

This isn't about saving the economy -- it's about trying to reinvent our government along a socialist model and hoping the economy bounces back enough later to pay for it. Only one problem: the administration has made it very clear that it intends to cook the goose that lays the golden eggs. You can't achieve economic growth by saddling the economy with debt payments, and there's a growing sense that the leading economist of the next few years is going to be John Galt.

The Nikkei just closed at a 26 year low; that doesn't bode well for the Dow tomorrow (Monday). Meanwhile, Obama is encouraging world leaders to follow him down the path to destruction. Why would they? He's not doing anything to suggest to anyone that the business climate is going to improve under his administration.

I mean seriously -- of the 15 appointed positions under Geithner, the administration can't fill any of them. Nobody in an economic leadership capacity wants their names attached to this.

Why not we have for 8 years, and all of the Reagan/Bush I terms. Love hearing about fiscal responsiblity or ecenomics from Republicans. Like asking for hunting tips from a vegan.

And the earliest possible lame duckenest is in 3 and 3/4 years, more likely 7 and 3/4. Maybe we just oughta make a big fat tax break for rich folks.

Sarcasm and ridicule doesn't change the fact that he's building debt at a phenomenal rate -- and proposing a budget that keeps it going. This isn't about Reagan or Bush; this is Obama's problem to deal with and he owns it more every day. Reagan's Democratic congress went on a spending spree, but his economic policies helped capitalism flourish. Obama has declared war on it.

And I see you've found your mantra in sarcastic comments about taxing the rich again. Still haven't figured it out, have you? Those rich people are the ones doing the hiring or, in this case, laying people off because they don't see good things in the future. Your view of the rich has been the downfall of socialists economies throughout history. Punish the people who pay the bills, and the bills stop getting paid. Like them or not, you need the rich to pay for those programs you want.

And by the way, great job contributing absolutely nothing to the intellectual debate with that last post. You raised no points, produced no facts, and just displayed the usual immaturity. Grow up.
