Is the trigger on the Ruger MkII adjustable or does it need to be filed or replaced with an aftermarket trigger(Timney, etc)? What do they usually come set as from the factory(7lb., 5lb. )?
Thanks for your input.
I have two Rugers both Mk II and they came with very heavy triggers, a quick trip to my local gunsmith and he changed the sear angle by 1 degree and polished it up and changed the spring($25 Aus) and it shoots 100% better. You can buy aTimney or something but this trigger job is just as good.I had it done on a 25/06 and 30/06. best thing to do to a Ruger.
Accuracy. What an incredible way to give yourself a true advantage.
Go to your club and get a bunch of guys together - and put a target out there at 250 meters. Break out the deer rifles and see who can shoot a decent group, even off of the bench, at this distance. I think you will be shocked at how few can do it.
So - with that in mind, I recently set out to try to develop a semi-custom rifle that I could afford and that would shoot - repeatedly - at MOA.
I started with a platform that I love...
