Is the trigger on the Ruger MkII adjustable or does it need to be filed or replaced with an aftermarket trigger(Timney, etc)? What do they usually come set as from the factory(7lb., 5lb. )?

I have two Rugers both Mk II and they came with very heavy triggers, a quick trip to my local gunsmith and he changed the sear angle by 1 degree and polished it up and changed the spring($25 Aus) and it shoots 100% better. You can buy aTimney or something but this trigger job is just as good.I had it done on a 25/06 and 30/06. best thing to do to a Ruger.
There are times when the deer are simply not moving and you're forced to make something happen. Maybe you're up against a full moon or hot weather. This is when a silent drive to force deer to move should be considered.
