Robin hood

This is my first robin hood with the new bow and setup. I have been shooting my new rig now for 14 days since I got it. I personally hate it when I ruin an arrow but it sure builds confidence when you are taking off fletches and nocks. This is not my very first robin hood, just the first with this new setup.

Nice shooting!  Time to spin

Nice shooting!  Time to spin the target so you have more than one spot to shoot at.  I hate robin hoods unless I'm shooting 3d with buddies and I robbinhood their arrow Laugh

I just hate doing that.

I just hate doing that.  Hoggetter has a pretty good idea of shooting at different areas of the target.  It just could save a few arrows.

I've done that twice, I hated

I've done that twice, I hated it both times, what a waste of an arrow, Now when i shoot I have 4 dots on my target and shot one arrow per spot at a time.

Robin hood

Hey, everybody should have at least one of those, congrats...LOL.

Like many mention, I got one early when first taking up the bow before I got better and started shooting spots to avoid it, creasing arrow shafts, replacing vanes, etc. I'm not sure it would be as likely now even though I still shoot aluminum, but now I have those uni-bushings instead of a "cone" at the rear for the noc. Don't know what would happen..?

I have a real nice one, where one strip of aluminum coiled up like a watch spring on one side, and a couple long 'twisters' elsewhere to go with it sticking out. It is perfectly straight too. I mounted it using small electrical/tube clamps on a nice long piece of wood all varnished up, and have a little metal plate there with date etc., ha ha. A trophy... ;-)

Bugs Bunny, That one with the

Bugs Bunny,

That one with the new bow was at 20 yards. I have seven that I have done over the years in the bullseye, the longest was at 50 yards. I can not count how many I have done to my buddies, dads', and brothers' arrows over the years. Evil!

Unit5A,

That is pretty cool making a plaque for yours. Thumbs up

making a plaque

Hey thanks. It came out pretty nifty. I have four small square blocks of the same wood mounted spread equally along the longer piece, with the two arrows on top of them for vane and coiled aluminum clearence, 3-D effect, LOL. I got bored one night and sacrificed a nice piece of oak, ha ha.

I think it was at about 30 or so yards at my friends house. The second arrow hit the first driving it through the hay bails and into the wall behind. I suppose that let it really drive itself into the first arrow creating the neat coil strips?

Take care.
