Robert Anderson

I am attempting to locate Robert Anderson, author of Jack O'Conner, The Legendary Life of American's Greatest Gunwriter. I went to college and hunted with Robert but have lost contact with him. He also has written several books about Sheep Hunting. I was hoping that someone in the Sheep Hunting community might have recently seen him. If so, I would appreciate your help. Thanks, Steve Jones, Woodville, Texas.

Try emailing collectorscovey@yahoo.com I'm pretty sure he owns the place.

Thanks for the information.

Bob had the best memory of anyone that I have ever known. All through college, he never took notes, never seemed to study and yet could quote word for word everything that the professor said and everything that he had read. Of course he earned all As. Bob was lucky, he grew up having the father that all of us wished that we had had. Mr. Anderson, as I remember Bob's dad, was the best running game shot that I have ever seen. He shot an old Remington 700 in 270 Winchester with a 4X Weaver with a 3 minute dot. Never saw him miss anything that was running or standing still. Bob's dad was both his father and best friend. I guess that is where Bob got his love for hunting and shooting. Hunting wasn't just a hobby, it was life itself. Everything revolved around going to or coming from a hunting trip. Thanks for the information about Bob's location. .
