Gotta' love that fiddle back !
Good lookin' rifle.
Dang it,... almost forgot,... mine's pretty close to being done now. It's taking a little longer in the finishing stage but it's looking really nice. I went with a Virgina Maple tone for the wood and I'm in the final stages of the shellacking and rubbing out . I'll post more pictures when I am done.

I do love fiddlebacks! SO FESTIVE!
I've been really happy with Laurel Mountain Forge stain. I cut it 80% with denatured alcohol. Then there is two coats of Permalyn sealer, those pictures were taken with two brushed on coats of Permaly finish. I've got several more coats on her right now, and it is somewhat more subdued after 600 grit sanding, prior to the third coat. Subsequent coats are now prepped using 0000 steel wool and rubbing in by hand (with nitrile gloves). I'd post another pic if she wasn't wet from my last coat.

I shoot a Winchester Mod. 70 25 Super Short Magnum. Its quitee accurate out to about 800 yards. I use a 115 grain Nosler Partitian bullet with 42.4 grains of 4320 powder. I shoot a .35 @ 100 yards. It used to be an all black rifle but I got bored with it so I descided to give it a touch up paint job.
Its nothing special like what you guys have but it does the job for me right now and i've made kills out to 550 yards with it.

Rifle I use
I have several high power rifles, but my favorite is a Browning 300 Win Mag semi auto (BAR). Last four by four buck I killed was two years ago in Utah and I made a four hundred yard shot. I have a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5x10 on it. I use the Federal Premium 180gr.

Getting in a little late on this thread, but here's a couple of pix of my baby...
This is my standard at the range setup...
This image shows my latest paint job for the area that I will be hunting in.
This is the same photo from a different angle. I took this picture from 15 feet away... do you see the rifle?
