If you want to see whats in store for gun owners check this out, and having the senate, the house and the White House held by the most liberal leaders we have ever seen this may have a chance to pass.
Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009. To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009 . You will get all the information.
Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
.It is registered
.You are fingerprinted
.You supply a current Driver's License
.You supply your Social Security #
.You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing.
.Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.
.There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.
They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.
There is now way any one who owns firearms would give up without a fight.
If they fall in for this bill they are chicken s**ts. There are many like myself that will go down swinging and they will have to ( as Charrelton Heston said) "pry my cold dead hands off my firearms". The people who elected these anti-gun idiots, can give theirs (firearms) up but not this guy. I sure hope there are enough who would be against this bill, because there will be a civil war of sorts if it passes. In WI our good ole Gov. plans on raising the background permit up to $30.00 when you buy a gun. Their plan is to tax everything that has anything to do with guns and ammo so high that a average guy cannot afford it anymore. Then they will go after the firearms Manufacturers and make it so they cannot stay in business. Stay on top of it guys and Gals we sure are in for CHANGE. Hussein Obama made a promise and he will keep it!
While its true that stalking is very effective you should remeber that its not stalking that scares the deer. Go slow thake three steps wait 1 minute that will spook the deer more than constant rattling and noise otherwise theyll stay just out of range while you get tired and sore.
I was seeing less deer too in my old hunting locations (mostly because I shot them out) now I hunt in other locations. Last year when every one else stayed home on the second day because they didn't see any deer on the opener (we used to see 40 or 50 deer on the opener in Pa) I went out and saw no less than 30 deer (in my new spot) and killed one. The next day I killed two more (In another different spot) then on the next day I wasn't going to kill any more deer unless a nice buck came along. A real horse of a doe (the 9th deer of the morning, it was 8:30am) stopped and stood broadside at 20 yards and I decided that I was going to end my season here and get back to work early with 4 real nice deer for the freezer.
Your not the only one that feels that way.
I feel that if the men and women that manage the herd want you to take the deer, then you should take the deer. It is in the best interest of the overall population. If I see that one area should be left alone then I leave it alone.
Jim Zumbo, Craig Boddington, Ron Spomer and Wayne Van Zwoll are all solid contributers to the modern hunting literature. Through their gifts (both hunting and writing) they make us better hunters. Whether it is letting us learn from their mistakes or by teaching us new techniques, they help us harvest more game. But I suggest looking to the oldies, the fathers of the outdoor writing craft, to learn tricks that you might have not used.
I chose to shoot the 270 winchester because I grew up...
