Response to Vermont October ML Season

Interesting article.  The person seems "fair", since they actually allow hunting on their land, just not near the barn and horses.  So, they are not really anti-hunting.  But, they seem a little misinformed.  They seem to think that bullets will be whizzing around peoples heads at regular intervals.

It was voted on by the VT

It was voted on by the VT Wildlife board, made up of private residents, or part year residents, they vote on the suggestions made by Fish and Game.

I commented on it in another reply to an article on here in VERMONT section.

The Board voted NO on the October Muzzle season, it would upset the tourists to have more hunting, especially guns in the fall seasons,

and they also voted NO on increasing the October archery season length.

I just think they caved to that demographic.  It's stupid, but hey, they make the decisions....

its a snow job.  the Fish and

its a snow job.

the Fish and Game dept. only makes "suggestions", then the Board which is appointed by the Governor and oddly enough are not usually natives or even full time residents, they decide what laws proposed by the Fish and Wildlife Dept go into effect.

why have biologists if 14 people chosen by the gov. based on contributions and political party makes the decisions anyway?

everyone says Laroche did a great job, saved the deer hunting, etc etc, and the new Gov wont even accept his application for new commissioner? He was appointed by a Republican, but they say that had nothing to do with it...uh huh.
