I read up on the Endeavor binoculars that are part of the prizes that are available in this month’s Grand Slam Challenge contest here on BGH and the reviews of these binos are great!
These have ED lenses – and I do not really know a lot about glass – but this type of lens is supposed to be top of the line. I read reviews on the 45 and 42mm pairs and both were rated as great glass, particularly when you consider their mid level price range.
In these reviews, they were compared against Leica, Swarovski and Zeiss and that is some tall company! There were not rated as better – or even as good – as these name brands… but each of the reviews stated that the performance of the Endeavors was very impressive.
If I read it correctly, these are made in China and do fear that Chinese glass is the next real nightmare for the high end glass manufacturers of the world…
I have posted prior to now, I have a pair of Zen-Ray 8x43 ED2’s that are Chinese made and they are simply stunning. I suspect these new Endeavors will be all that and perhaps more.
I did not get to any reviews of the spotting scope – I will try to see what I can find out about this unit in the next day or so.
Some lucky hunters will soon get to test some of this glass out, courtesy of BGH and Endeavor!
