Republican Governor Crist of Florida to run for Senate

Governor Crist enjoys broad bipartisan support in Florida. He supported President Obama's stimulous bill. The only problem is he likes Floridians and acts in their interest. The Club for Growth who funds most Republicans hates him. They will have to pour money into the state running someone against Crist in the primary and if they win the primary they'll be sure to lose the seat to a Dem. More likely Crist will win the primary in which case no Dem could take him out, and there would be a very moderate Republican often voting with the Dems.

Heads win / tails lose.

Hey where is the confederate flag you claimed was displayed in the other thread? Not there so you lied to make your point?

Why should anyone pay attention to you if you blatantly lie and show no remorse for it?

Do as you like. I'll make you a deal, don't call me a liar when you haven't even bothered to check the links and I won't call you dumber than a sack a rocks.

Keep it up and I'll take your lunch money and send you home to your mom with tears.

I see you still can't spell "stimulus".

I'm not so much Republican as I am conservative. Lately, I've been voting Republican because it's the lesser of two evils. I voted for McCain, but was holding my nose the whole time.

As far as I'm concerned, a Republican who has the support of Democrats isn't doing conservatives any favors. Democrats loved McCain because they knew Dems wouldn't vote for him because he was Republican, and Republicans wouldn't vote for him because he carried the ball for the other team too much.

I might be more willing to believe the "bipartisan" rhetoric if I saw one iota of bipartisanship from the Democrats. But instead, all I'm seeing from them is "We won -- deal with it." I don't see them reaching across the aisle, and criticism is dealt with viciously.

IMO, Republican resurgency hinges on rediscovering their core principles of small government and individual liberty. Apparently the Democrats do as well, because anyone that can articulate such things bears the full onslaught of every attack the Dems can generate. What they want is weak Republicans who won't put up a fight or ask embarrassing questions.

If the swing to the right doesn't happen soon, it'll happen over the next few years. Americans are generally a patriotic lot, and while we may feel guilty from time to time, we like to feel good about our country. People will get tired of the constant apologies and seeing their leaders constantly approaching our enemies with weakness. I figure that after a few years of foreign policy losses and high inflation associated with printing all that money, the pendulum will swing back to the right.

We elected Carter because we were tired of Nixon -- but after four years of Carter's embarrassing policies the pendulum swung hard right and we got Reagan. The pendulum swing is inevitable -- it's just a question of when. That's why I say you ought to be careful about limits on speech, Pogo. You can't have yin without yang, and if you establish a precedent that allows one group to suppress free speech, it'll eventually be turned against you.

You're so funny. Ah, so there is a picture of a confederate flag after all, just not in the picture I posted. So, you post a picture in a link that has nothing to do with the thread I started, reply to me and then expect everyone to find the picture in one of your thousand links.

Oh please, little man, don't beat me up and take my lunch money.

The correct phrase would be dumber than a sack "OF" rocks. When calling someone an idiot, make sure you can spell and use proper grammar. Otherwise it just makes you look really, really stupid.

And that other thread has exactly what to do with Charlie Crist? Why not bring it up over there where I can ignore it?

Warning - I am about to do something you are unable to do - address a question directly.

It has nothing to do with your thread and was only intended to antagonize you and point out you inability to honestly address an issue and that you run when cornered with facts or the truth.
