are there any big fans of the remington core lokt ammo out there? i just took my new weatherby .270 out shooting to sight it in and shot through 1 box of remington core lokt and 1 box of winchester super X. by the end of the box of remington, i was all sighted in and had 1" groups at 100 yards. the winchesters didn't do so well. they were about 2" off the aiming point and i could only get about 2 1/2" groups.
this is my first big-game caliber rifle and i intend to use it mainly on pig, and possibly deer/elk/bear down the road. from what i've read and heard, some guns tend to be picky about what rounds you shoot through them and how well they'll shoot. i haven't shot anything but the remington and winchester rounds yet, although i plan on trying a few others soon.
so i guess the question is, how does the remington core lokt ammo rate as a medium-to-large sized game round? i've read and heard about different types of premium ammo available and i'm open to trying whatever may work best. but if i've already found something that works well and that will get the job done, perhaps there is no sense fixing it?
