The Remington 7600 pump ?

Thinking of buying one, what have been your experience with them ? Are they accurate, reliable, have a good baslance point etc. I'm thinking .270, strictly for deer hunt in mixed cover. Also where could one find a 7600 with an enhansed reciever ?( could use contact info) Rem is not producing them in 2004.

The Remington 7600 pump ?

Country Boy,
I have hunted whitetails on my property in WV with a Remington 760 (30-06)since 1972. The habitat is primarily wooded with one 50 acre field. The rifle has proven to be accurate, reliable, and provides a quick second shot if needed. Our deer camp has five hunters, three of whom use 760's. I'm sure that the others would agree with my appraisal. I can't help you with your decision about the enhanced receiver. Good luck with your rifle selection.

The Remington 7600 pump ?

I have an old 760 in 257 Rbts. It is a great gun that has killed many whitetails.
I must admit tho I do not understand "enhanced receiver" What is this?

I have a 760 in 308 and it is a very accurate rifle and a joy to shoot. I use mine any time I need a reliable quick shooting rifle. You won't be disappointed.
