Just save your money for the

Just save your money for the scope that you want to put on the rifle.  After I bought my last rifle it was 5 or 6 years before I found a deal on the scope that I put on it.  In waiting that long I saved around $200.00 on the scope since it was on sale.  However that was a long time to wait until I shot that rifle.

I have done the same thing

I have done the same thing for another gun I had. After waiting about 3 years I got a Sheperd scope for dirt cheap from a friend that didn't like the scope. He claimed it couldn't hold Zero so he was going to throw it out! I offered him $250.00 for the scope and I have been using it ever since with no problems.

Frontier,  The Nightforce

Frontier,  The Nightforce scope is one heck of a scope.  I have a Nightforce 5.5x22x56 on a Remingtion Sendero in the 7mm RUM.  It will definitely take the recoil.  I traded in a Leupold 8.5x25x50 for more than I paid for it when I bought it used.  In my opinion, there is no comparison between the two.  One draw back is the Nightforce is big, bulky and heavy.  But I use it as a long range gun, hunting out of box blinds, so the weight isn't an issue for me.  I would suggest you save your money to buy one in the future.
