Rem model 7

Hi ,I just bought a new Remington Model 7 CDL in 350 rem mag. I am planning on setting it up with a Leopold 2 - 7 ultra light. I was wondering if anyone has shot one of these and has any suggestions. Thanks, Jim

Awesome setup. I haven't had the pleasure to shoot one but you will not be disappointed. Thumbs up

great combination

I have an old Remington 600 in 350 it is the one I choose if I am going to have to walk far and shoot something big. Also you can reload 38/357 rounds for plinking, it has even been my varmit rifle due to its light weight. 158grain gold dots explode on coyote. (ludicrous speed for a 38 round) What more can you ask for. As far as leupold you can never go wrong. I ruined a scope with full house 250 grainers and then bought a Vari 1 or 2 1.5x 5ish something close to that. i very muched liked the combination. Now it sits with out a scope hanging next to a saddle. Mine definatly did not like certain bullets and gave me 3.5 inch patterns. Hornadys keeps them at an inch.

Enjoy wear a thick shirt

Rem.Model 7 CDL - 350 Mag.

ADK - I Just got one.about the time You did. Love it.Put a VarixIII- 2.5x8 on it.
Only have 2 Problems with it. 1) The recoil Pad was not quite aligned. 2) Have only put 40 Rnds, through it,but after the first box of Factories. Could only get about 21/4" Groups.Decided to bed it and take out the Pressure Point (Free Float the Barrel).I bed everygun, anyways. This brought it to about 11/4", with the second Box of Factories. Looking forward to work up a load for it. I'm going with Sierra 225 gr., and maybe RL 15 Powder. I missed the boat, back in the 60's, with the 600's & 660's in the 350. There was quite a few in My area back then. Always liked the style & Caliber. Hope this helps. - Mark

I wish there were a few more deer up there. The bucks you do see are good ones but boy it can get discouraging at times.

Being from Nova Scotia, I know what you are talking about. Our numbers are LOW but you see the occasional beauty.

Hey Chester I didn’t know they had Golf Courses in Nova Scotia. I thought it was all woods and water. Big smile

Unfortunately, I wish it was all woods and water but it is being bought up by tourists at an alarming rate. sad But I guess we made the golf courses and they came so it is probably our fault. Think
