Rloading bench carpet

Thanks, this is about the 5th reloading bench that I've had, and I've always had a low, tight cut carpet on them. Partly "just because", partly because I think it looks more "finished", and partly because it is a soft surface when I'm working on a gun.

However, carpet can be a pain to clean -- there's always spilt powder and shot, brass case trimmings, and occasionally a liquid. I also tie flies on that bench, and dropped hooks or flys can get caught in the carpet.

But mainly because its my bench, and I like the carpet on it. Big smile

...soft surface

I like the idea of the soft surface. I've got a pad I use now and it seems like no matter where I keep it, it's always in the way. A perminantly mounted pad is quite an idea.
