Night Raider,I looked into reloading slugs many years ago,because I like hunting with slugs so much. Reloading data for use with standard type "Foster" slugs was fairly easy to find,as far as powder charge goes. But the hitch was in getting the correct spacers,"cards",etc. between the powder and slug for the correct length seemed too involved too me for what it was worth.I could not find anywhere to purchase these,let alone in varying thicknesses,and the thought of having to make them seemed more effort than the endeavour was worth,and how well or safe would my home-made(See Fred Flintdtone) spacer cards be?
It might be worth re-investigating with the evolution of the new foster type slug loads available now,maybe some components are available.
I really do think the performance of a factory load can be improved,if only all the new components and data are available!
I think I would start my inquiries with Remington and Hornady,since together they seem to have one of the hottest Sabot slug loads available now......

Hey Hammer1,I have done a little research recently into today's slug reloading,and the link you provided lots of info and links to handloading traditional and recent hi-tech slugs.A lot has changed since I seriously looked into this 15 years ago! There is lots of data and components available now,and some very knowledgable people offering good advice.
Apparntly not so cheap or easy to handload to par with some of the new factory loads,and not always so cheap... But for good hunting loads and accuracy loads it is difinitely worthwhile,and lots of great info on how to tune your slug gun,opinions on factory ammo,etc.
Definitely a good find,A lot has slipped by me in the last years.
