Recommendation for Rifle Elk Hunt

I have been a DIY Archery hunter for years and love elk hunting. This year, I'm looking to double up and take two trips. One for DIY archery in NM and another rifle hunt with a first time Elk hunter. I would appreciate any recommendations for a great outfitter (outside of NM preferrably) for his first Elk hunt. Thanks!

Welcome and good luck

You might try searching earlier posts, but most of the regular posters here are primarily DIY hunters.  So, it might take a little bit of time before someone gets a recommendation to you.

I appreciate that. Looking through past posts now and searching the net. Personal references go a long way. I too prefer DIY (archery), but only two of us going and he's an older gentleman. Thanks again...

First off welcome to the

First off welcome to the site, nice to see new folks on here. Only outfitter I have used and will highly recommend is Elk Springs Outfitters out of McCall Idaho. Really great and honest folks who will work hard to get you a bull. Look up their web site and read the info. This is a pack in wilderness hunt so if your up for a back country hunt check them out. Another cool thing about them is that there is no extra fees if you add a wolf or bear tag to your hunt and the tags are only $31.75 each.   www.elkspringsoutfitters.net
