Seeing nothing

I've been sitting morning and afternoon everyday on great locations that normally loaded with deer and I'm not seeing anything. I'm hearing a lot of others guys around the area saying the same thing. Starting to wish I stayed hunting in NY this week.

Decided to go Bird hunting this morning instead of bow. Walking on state game land down the road from our farm and I see a monster 10 pt, a 5pt and 4 does all hiding in the thick stuff

The stand I'm in has a very large area to shoot in. Probably about a 200 degree radius with just a spot straight out in front of me that I can't shoot. She was behind my left shoulder and back about 18 yards. I have no shot in this area and I don't want to make one either. 9 times out of 10 the deer will keep walking and come right into my shooting area. Just happened this night she didn't.

I won't be going out this evening. Too warm and too many things going on. I will be in a stand tomorrow morning though. Check back for my update.

I haven't been out since

I haven't been out since Saturday evening. I am on my vacation now and once this beyotch Hurricane Sandy clears out I will be pounding the woods. Looks like I will be getting back out either Thursday morning/evening or both.

I'm done elk hunting for the year and I am elkless. Cry baby ARGH!!! Saw some great looking bulls but just couldn't get close enough for a shot. Oh well - maybe next year! Luckily I am back this weekend to hunt the whitetail rut next week! Dancing

You haven't missed much this

You haven't missed much this week here. Unless you like sitting out in a monsoon. It looks like I may be able to get out this evening. But, it probably won't be until Friday morning.

Yes, I had over 5 inches of rain at my place. The deer should really be moving today and tomorrow. Good luck on your hunt!

I got this doe in PA and this fox last night. First time out in a while because of this stinking huricane completely devasted this region. Sorry about the elk hunt retired, did you enjoy yourself at least?

Congrats on the Doe and Fox -

Congrats on the Doe and Fox - both are very nice looking! I did enjoy myself very much. It would have been better had I been packing elk meat out though.
