Well sorry to hear that! The broadhead does look re-usable... but I would save it for your 2nd deer harvested with that new bow. You going out this weekend?

It happens

I think we have all done that. At least it looks like your heads fine and just needs to be cleaned up a little and will be ready to go again.

Saturday evening I shot at a

Saturday evening I shot at a nice doe. I didn't see the branch/stick in the way and it deflected my arrow. So, she lived to see another day. Monday morning I forgot my release but I didn't see any deer anyways. Monday evening I saw 7 does and 5 different bucks. I saw the giant we have on the property. He is at least 180". Then I saw a nice 150" and two that would go 110"-120". Then there is this real scrubby looking older buck that I have no idea what his score is. I had the 150" at 40 yards broadside at 7:05pm. I could see him but I couldn't see my pins so I let him go. Not a bad evening but would have been better if I put one down.

Sounds like you have some

Sounds like you have some great quality bucks to choose from this year. Good luck and and hope you get that giant! We would love to see a picture of him on the ground with your arrow in him.

I hunt 2 different

I hunt 2 different properties. There are several quality bucks I will gladly put my arrow through. The 180" I saw the other night, that made the third time we saw him since hunting season opened. There are also at least a handfull of other bucks on this property that range between 130"-160". My family farm I hunt is even better than this. We have a non typical that will go well over 200". Then we have at least 3 others between 150"-180". The buck I want most to kill is an 180" giant 8 point. He is a stud. But I will not hold out for only him, too many other nice one's and I don't want to eat my buck tag if I don't get a chance at him.

I got the stand moved on the

I got the stand moved on the 17th. This is the stand where I have been seeing the 180" giant. I have seen him three times so far but have always been anywhere from 20-40 yards too far. I am going to put out some corn and sugar beets on Friday and hit that stand Monday evening. I can't wait. I will be hunting another stand on that same property this evening (18th). I am going to try and take out a doe if any comes close enough.
