Raccoons at the apartment

These raccoons showed up at my apartment last year. There were 5 of them, I assume one was the mother and four babies. They became quite tame after seeing us all the time. This year they are gone. http://www.gather.com/viewSlideshow.action?albumId=33610

The quandary of all hunters is how do I give myself the best chance to take home a trophy animal after shelling out hundreds of dollars for that coveted tag in another state.
