I've hunted with a buddy of mine numerous times when we both have climbing stands, but rarely close together. We have a few times though, hoping to take a picture etc. of the other. I guess we just separted more to try different spots, but also within walking distance of each other most of the time, just not that close. No real reason I suppose.

Me and my dad will usually hunt within 80 yards of each other.  Like he will hunt one side of a field and i'll hunt the other. etc.

I hunt alot with a bud, but rarely from stands. We still hunt more often than not. We both have a hard time sitting, but I am a little more patient than him. We both like to glass. Sometimes we catch ourselves being a little to loud, but we both have the gift of gab, lol him more than me. We do ok together and wouldn't trade the memories.

My hunting partner is my son-in-law. We some times share a ground blind but usually hunt several hundred yards apart. We do use radios to keep in touch, as I am seventy years old and have some health issues.

Sounds like it is working well for ya. I don't hunt out of a stand however my father and I usually are in close say couple hundred yards of each other so we can see different parts of canyons
