Question on synthetic stocks

Does anyone know if the H S Precision stocks and the Bell & Carlson Medalist stocks are the same?
The aluminum bedding blocks sure look similar in their picture ads.
Even the camo paint jobs look the same.
The prices are way different. It runs soomething like $219 for the B & C and $289 for the H S.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks-

Question on synthetic stocks

Welcome to BGH:
Could very well be that the price difference is "you're paying for the Name" type of thing.
B & C company profile indicates:

Primary SIC: Hardwood Dimension & Flooring Mills, Primary NAICS: Cut Stock, Resawing Lumber, and Planing
Description: Hardwood Dimension & Flooring Mills.

Doesn't appear that gun stocks are their main focus at this juncture as oppposed to H S Precision
But I have no personal knowledge, I just like to type stuff with my morning coffee

Question on synthetic stocks

I have a HS presision on my rifle and it is a great, but heavy stock. The B&C is not supposed to be as good but it comes a bit lighter. You probably won't notice the diff.

Thanks very much for the reply Chester

Do you have any idea if they share the same manufacturer?
The bedding blocks for both of them look exactly the same.
If B&C is lighter, I would probably go with H-S for the strength.
Thanks again for the reply!

Question on synthetic stocks

They are not the same even though they are similar. HS has a proprietor design on the alum. block that they state is unique to them. The two are close but taking the $$$ difference out of the equation, I'd still go with the HS.

Thanks Chester

You have just made up mind.
I think I will go with the HS. The price diference isn't much especially for what I will be getting.
Thanks a bunch for your valuable information.
