Question for the ohio hunters?

I was arguing with a buddy of mine and we have a little bet going on. I said the acorns usually start dropping in mid to late September in a normal year. He said early to mid October. Can anyone give me any input on this? I live in east central just south of Canton.

Can't help with your arguement, but the acorns usually start falling around the end of
Sept here.  Sometimes earlier or later depending on the weather, but start before the end of Sept with the majority of the acorns falling by the second week of Oct.  Good hunting
