Question for the more expierienced?

I have been Bowhunting for only 3 years, We usually hunt the east side behind the woodshed in the 352 nile area. That place has gotten so run down with hunters and the lack of visable elk. So now I have been told the Raymond area Is good I think it is GMU 672. Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to start possibly a logging road number or something???? Or if there is another area that is good. Would love to get a chance at a Bull.

I've gotten some good maps off of ODFW site, you really have to search and play around with the site. Or even just Google maps, the more you zoom in, the more detailed roads pop up. I usually look at the ODFW maps that show the boundries and the "terrain" google maps at the same time to get a good feel of the roads, area, and terrain. Your best bet that the Bulls will be waaay of the road, walk, near a creek, and food, usually nice cool areas. I know here in east Oregon they like the deep canyons w/ lots of trees for cover to stay cool. Theres my input. You can catch them out in the open early in the morning at sunlight. I haven't heard much bugling as of late, actually I've only heard 1 bugle this past weekend compared to constant bugling I was hearing the past 2 weeks before.

The wdfw.link to maps is actuallly http://www.wdfw.wa.gov/mapping/gohunt/index.html

Their maps are pretty easy to use if your familiar with GIS maps. If you are looking for more of a physical map look up metsker maps, heres the link, they are pretty good as well
