Where are they?

I am traveling with some friends who have drawn elk tags. We will be there November 5 through 13. I've never hunted a bear, and since I was too late to get in on the elk draw , I will purchase a bear tag. I'm not looking for a record, just a legal bear.

What general elevation should the bears be at?
Do they move from higher elevations to lower elevations like elk?
What types of forage are available in the Unit 53 area?
Anybody in the area feel like being a guide? I own a ranch in West Texas and will take you white tail deer and turkey hunting if I am successful.

Any tips would be helpful.
